Aaron Eckenthal tries to help clients focus on their “big picture” business goals and achieve their overall business objectives. No matter what the client’s goals, he can use his superb analytical skills to find possible solutions. This forms the foundation of how Aaron has successfully helped many clients achieve comprehensive and positive outcomes to their intellectual property matters.
The Great American Inventor
Aaron has a long history of helping his clients enforce their intellectual property rights. It is important that every inventor, scientist and innovator be recognized for their creative genius and that they are compensated for the use of their intellectual property. Aaron’s professional skills can evaluate a claim and then determine a comprehensive strategy for enforcement. And while litigation is usually a last resort, Aaron is not afraid to go to battle for his clients to ensure that his client gets a favorable outcome.
It’s All About The Science
With a background in Genetics and Bacteriology, Aaron possesses the ability to absorb scientific information across a wide range of technology areas. He attributes his ability to figure out nuanced technologies in areas with little training to his scientific background and training. This enables him to quickly learn new technologies, get up to speed quickly in cases and communicate with inventors at a level of deep understanding of their invention.
Over the course of his career, Aaron’s counseling his clients have allowed him to handle a variety of intellectual property matters, with a particular concentration in litigation. His litigation experiences have involved many complex technologies, including cellular phone, vocoders, video codecs, VOIP, airplane seats, video games and affiliate marketing. Aaron also has experience with patent prosecution matters in the life sciences, and with trademark disputes (both litigation and opposition proceedings). On multiple occasions Aaron has been able to have an improperly used domain name transferred to his client through the Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy (UDRP).
As a member of The John C. Lifland American Inn of Court, Aaron is provided with the opportunity to meet with other practitioners and Judges in the District of New Jersey on a monthly basis. These meetings provide Aaron with a unique perspective to approaching various issues that may arise during litigation and enables Aaron to counsel clients more effectively.
